This is such a lovely and straightforward guide to creating a reader persona! I appreciate the suggestion to start with yourself as the ideal reader and “test out” writing to different personas… though I definitely still find it hard to tell what resonates! (Sometimes it seems like posts with similar content/ style perform wildly differently based on the day).
There's definitely an art to trying to intentionally understand and think about what readers need! It overlaps a lot, I've found, with finding a new layer of courage and "owning" what is distinct about my life — and letting that show up in my writing, too.
