Welcome to The Newsletter Check-In!
This is a living comment thread for writers and newsletter creators who are working through The Editing Spectrum’s Paid Member “Start Here” Guide.
📝 How It Works:
✅ Anyone can read the discussions, browse past questions and explore resources.
✅ Paid members can comment and ask questions.
✅ Keep questions high-level. This is for launching and feedback on what you’ve created, not deep editorial or strategy work.
→Will Amanda be answering my questions? Sometimes! But mostly these will be community-curated points of connection and support. If you have a question you’re eager to get Amanda’s feedback on, you can bookmark it for the Pivot Hour or submit your question here in the Spectrum Vault so it can be considered for a future community Chat Pivot Hour Replay essay.
💬 How To Format Your Comment:
Tell us the theme: ABOUT PAGE / BIO / HEADLINE / PAID TIER / CELEBRATE WITH ME
Share a link or a few sentences so we can have context for your request
Tell us the nature of input you’re looking for: encouragement, critical eye, would you read that?
(I realize Amanda, you have your own personal things going on at home; I hesitated posting this here right now, but you also said this community is good for you, so I’m hoping some community members jump in with thoughts. And maybe more will ask their questions?)
[OVERALL FIRST IMPRESSIONS]
Here’s mine: I’d love some first impression thoughts. When you browse my page, what words or phrases come to mind? What stands out? What initial questions do you have? What are you looking for but can’t easily find?
Not looking for advice but a few pairs of fresh eyes to help me see things from a new reader’s perspective.

[CHECK IN POST] I love this post and am wondering how to adapt it to my work. If it should be open to all subscribers or just paid (I have two!) I am thinking of adapting some of my freebies like "Ayurvedic Lingo" or 'You know if its menopause when" to suit a more formal Q & A type format. Any thoughts?
